Finally–the Truth About America’s Healthcare Mess: Outspoken Doc Goes Beyond Michael Moore’s Sicko Movie

Finally–the Truth About America’s Healthcare Mess: Outspoken Doc Goes Beyond Michael Moore’s Sicko Movie

Article by Dr. Carter Multz

It’s controversial and eye-opening, and has been a much-talked-about topic at water coolers nationwide. But does Michael Moore’s stirring movie Sicko tell the whole story about America’s HEALTHCARE HAVOC? What more should people know about realities that could endanger their lives? And what can be done to heal America’s ailing healthcare system and MisManaged Care?

First, here are the disturbing facts:

1. We spend twice as much money on healthcare than any other nation.

2. The U.S. is the only industrialized nation without a national healthcare plan. At least 47 million Americans have no healthcare coverage. And 18,000 of these uninsured Americans will die needlessly every year. Another 3 million will go bankrupt paying outrageous medical bills.

3. Medical fees have been tightly restricted by Medicare and managed care Costs have skyrocketed from 1.3 trillion in 2004 to more than 2 trillion today. They’re expected to reach a staggering 4.1 trillion in 10 years.

4. Healthcare in America wastes more than 30% of our medical dollars on unearned profits and uncoordinated administration.

5. Inappropriate anti-trust laws further burden the system. Congress MUST correct this and provide healthcare for all Americans!

The Sicko Movie only touches the surface of our healthcare crisis! Americans need to know NOW about innovative low-cost solutions that will save lives while saving money: Introducing Good Medicine America, a simple, novel way to limit healthcare costs, insure all Americans and provide much-needed pharmacy coverage.

Healthcare decisions should be made at the bedside, not in the boardroom. Efficient management will accomplish this, cut medical administrative costs in half and:

- Provide the equivalent to an annual ,000 BONUS for every man, woman and child in the U.S.

- Allow you to choose the doctors and hospitals you prefer… see specialists without special permission from an insurance clerk… use the lab and x-ray center of your choice… cover pharmacy charges and get the medicines your doctor prescribes.

- Improve quality of care and lower healthcare costs nationwide, all within budget.

- Be more than enough to insure all Americans.

America is also in a drug price crisis. Average U.S. retail prescription prices have doubled in the decade ending 2002. The price of drugs is forecast to increase by more than 15% annually over the next five years, as it has since at least 2000-2001.

But a groundbreaking new approach to resolving the American healthcare crisis aims to provide insurance for all Americans, and return healthcare decisions to patients and their physicians — saving billions of dollars in the process. Drugs that are unique and have no competitors must be priced no higher than the median price for the same drug in the U.S., Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Switzerland.

Popular author, speaker and sought-after interview guest Carter Multz, M.D., brings more than 40 years of knowledge and expertise to the table. The author of the critically acclaimed healthcare book, AMERICAN MEDICINE MISMANAGED CARE: How We Can Improve Quality, Cover the Uninsured, Add Pharmacy, and Have $ Billions Left Over, Multz suggests using a coordinated, nationwide personal computer-based management system to cut-out the overwhelming amount of administrative paperwork currently required of doctors, hospitals, administrators and employers. He contends that the uncoordinated administrative demands of the complex American insurance system contribute substantially to high healthcare costs.

The New Healthcare Bill (1/5)

Constitutional lawyer Michael Connelly joins us to share his expert legal account of the health care bill (which passed in Congress on March 22, 2010) after going through the entire bill with a fine tooth comb. I tried to get him on the same week the bill passed, but he was deluged with media requests! He comes at just the right time to tell us what the bill does on a number of fronts, to explain the legal implications of this bill and its impact on the Constitution, and to shed light on the nature of medical care we will now be mandated to buy. Perhaps most importantly, we discuss how the bill will be enforced. I know few people who have read the health care bill, and those that have required extensive legal council to translate it into layman’s terms. Since most of us will never read it, and others won’t be willing or able to pay the necessary legal fees to have it read by a Constitutional lawyer, Michael Connelly’s gracious assessment of the bill is of critical importance to the public.

In pursuit of jobs in healthcare

In pursuit of jobs in healthcare

Article by Anne Harvester

Jobs in healthcare will become more plentiful in coming years as members of the “baby boomer” generation age. There will be an abundance of opportunities in healthcare careers, particularly in geriatrics, end-of-life care and hospice and nursing home work. In addition, the large number of severely injured and disabled veterans returning from occupation duty in Iraq is already creating an urgent demand for workers in all healthcare fields that will continue for decades to come.

If this kind of work interests you, you’ll need to prepare with health care training and education. Online degrees are a convenient and economical way to start the training you’ll need in order to qualify for these jobs.

In addition to “hands-on” careers in healthcare in fields such as nursing, pathology, radiology and physical therapy, the U.S. Department of Labor anticipates a large number of openings for healthcare management jobs as well as healthcare administration jobs.

Healthcare administration is an area that will take on a great deal of importance in the coming years. If you saw Michael Moore’s movie “SiCKO,” you understand just how dysfunctional the present U.S. healthcare system is. The financial power of greedy insurance and pharmaceutical corporations and their undue influence over corrupt members of Congress presents considerable obstacles. However, there is growing rage among American citizens over this issue that may very well force changes at the state level.

Healthcare administrators are among those who see the problems firsthand and understand the issues; therefore, these people are in a position to help shape healthcare policy in the coming years as individual state governments begin the type of healthcare reform that most members of the U.S. Congress are unwilling to address.

Whether you choose an administrative or a hands-on career in healthcare, you’ll be able to complete your coursework at home, often at your own pace, by attending college online. Contrary to what you may have heard, online courses are similar to traditional classes at a brick-and-mortar university or college. You’ll hear lectures, read required texts, submit papers, take exams and even participate in class discussions. The only difference is that you’ll be using Internet technology such as podcasts and electronic bulletin boards for these interactions.

As you might imagine, training for healthcare careers in “hands-on” fields such as nursing, anesthesiology and pathology require some real-world clinical experience. Once you are at that stage, many schools can arrange for you to complete these requirements at a local hospital or other medical center near your home.

When pursuing an online degree, it is important to make sure that the school is properly accredited. Most online college websites provide this information; you can also learn more about accreditation by visiting the U.S. Department of Education website at http://www.ed.gov.

Execuctive Order 13575 “RURAL COUNCILS” Agenda 21 NWO

Execuctive Order 13575 “RURAL COUNCILS” Agenda 21 NWO President Obama signed his 86th executive order (13575) on June 9, which established the White House Rural Council (WHRC). According to The Blaze, the Executive Order seems to be in line with the United Nations radical Agenda 21, as it is designed “to begin taking control over almost all aspects of the lives of 16 percent of the American people.” Evidence of this can be found in Section One of the Executive Order, which reads: Section 1. Policy. Sixteen percent of the American population lives in rural counties. Strong, sustainable rural communities are essential to winning the future and ensuring American competitiveness in the years ahead. These communities supply our food, fiber, and energy, safeguard our natural resources, and are essential in the development of science and innovation. Though rural communities face numerous challenges, they also present enormous economic potential. The Federal Government has an important role to play in order to expand access to the capital necessary for economic growth, promote innovation, improve access to health care and education, and expand outdoor recreational activities on public lands. As the Executive Order references “sustainable rural communities,” it raises a few eyebrows, since that is one of the key phrases found in the UN plan for sustainable development known as Agenda 21. The order admits that it intends to seize greater power over “food, fiber, and energy,” items
